GWR-2000 Guided Wave Radar with Modbus RTU

The GWR-2000 utilizes time domain reflectometry to continuously measure the distance, level, and volume of powders or solids in bins, tanks, and silos. The transmitter emits a high frequency microwave pulse guided along the cable. The pulse is reflected back up to the sensor head and the level is calculated based on the time difference. The GWR is a superior choice for powders and solids, with dielectric constant values as low as 1.3. It has a very small upper dead zone, which ensures accurate level measurement at the top of the vessel. The GWR-2000 can operate in a multitude of applications, including excessive steam, condensation, buildup, high dust or air movement, or excessive noise.

The GWR-2000 can be installed in vessels constructed of plastic, cement, or steel and has hazardous location approvals. It also has a wide array of communications option, where data can be sent to a PLC, Cloud, or PC software.

Features & Benefits

  • Measuring distance up to 100 feet
  • For light to heavy bulk solids
  • 4-20mA and Modbus RTU communications
  • Performs in high dust
  • Immune to condensation
  • Virtually maintenance free
  • Reliable accuracy within 0.08″
  • Hazardous location approvals
  • BinDisc simple setup and configuration
