ISX878 Intrinsically Safe Ultrasonic Flow Transmitter
The DigitalFlow ISX878 significantly reduces those costs. Being a loop powered device, you only need to run the signal wire to get flow rate and to power the meter. Being intrinsically safe, the manufacturing cost of the instrument is significantly reduced and savings are passed on to you. By clamping on to the pipe, the ISX878 allows your process to continue running during meter installation without causing any pressure drop. There are no parts to wear over time, so measurement drift and routine maintenance are eliminated. The ISX878 may be your best solution for measuring fluids in hazardous locations.
The ISX878 liquid flowmeter works on 1/2" to 16" pipes with clean fluids. It utilizes advanced clamp-on transducers to interrogate the flow using the GE's patented Correlation Transit-Time(TM) technology. The ISX878 is loop powered, operating on two wires with a maximum power usage of 700 mW. It is easy to program using the 6 button keypad and graphical display or a PC interface using PanaView.
